Nine years ago I was handed a set of keys that changed my life.I was newly 31, pregnant with my third child, and stepping into something I didn’t fully understand yet but I knew hospitality was in my blood and I had worked my ass off to get here. I believed I could build something meaningful and together we did.

Sandbar was never built on polish. It was built on grit, long sometimes sleepless nights, and relationships.

It was built on listening to people’s stories across a bar top, watching blind dates turn into engagements, hosting dog birthday parties, and seeing my own kids grow up barefoot in the sand. It became a place where industry workers could exhale, neighbors became friends, and people from every walk of life felt welcome.

This place existed because of people….not trends, not investors, and not a concept. A community. A community I still very much love.

Walking away is not easy. But sometimes you know when a chapter has reached its end.

I poured my heart into this bar, and the friendships and memories I take with me will ALWAYS make it worth it.

I do have a story to tell.  Right now isn’t the time but one day I will share it.

Thank you, Nashville, for nine unforgettable years. I will always love you and maybe…just maybe you may see me somewhere else soon 🩷
